Padma Awards 2023: The President has given approval for 106 Padma Awards for 2023. There are 19 women among the awardees. Seven people have been selected for this honor posthumously. This list includes six Padma Vibhushan, nine Padma Bhushan and 91 Padma Shri awards. The Padma Awards are one of the country’s highest civilian honors and are conferred in three categories – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
The list also includes two persons from Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI category. In which NRI American mathematician Srinivasa Vardhan got Padma Vibhushan and Canada’s Sujata Ramadorai got Padma Shri for science and engineering.
